The climb is challenging (approximately 5,200 steps) and takes 3–4 hours to reach the summit. It is recommended for those in reasonable physical health. Alternative pilgrimage sites can be arranged for those unable to make the climb.

Modest dress is required at all temple sites — shoulders and knees must be covered. You will need to remove shoes before entering temple buildings. White clothing is traditionally worn by pilgrims and is considered respectful.
